History

Zios Pizza in the 1980'sThe first Zio’s Pizzeria opened in 1985 with its 50 seat store at 7924 Dodge Street in Beverly Hills Plaza. Zio’s¬†introduced fresh-made New York Style Pizza and Calzones to Omaha. Each pie and calzone are hand-stretched from scratch and custom-made with choice toppings. The pies and calzones are baked in old-world ovens and Zio’s Pizzeria offers more than 40 of the freshest toppings.

In 1989, the second restaurant location opened in Baker’s Square on 132nd and West Center Road, furthering the reach of New York Style Pizza. A few years later in 1994, Zio’s opened its third location in the Historic Old Market District, Downtown Omaha. All three restaurant locations have relocated to larger stores in the last 10 years to accommodate more guests who can’t get enough of Zio’s hand made calzones and New York Style Pizza. The Dodge Street restaurant can now host about 100 guests; West Center about 150; and the Old Market can approximately accommodate 130 people.

Over 30 years later Zio’s is still operating all three locations¬†with the same objective of serving the best and freshest food in town. The menu has also grown to offer not only a variety of New York Style pizza and calzones but also salads, hoagies, pastas, appetizers, beer, wine, margaritas, kids menus, desserts, and fantastic lunch specials!
